Why do we need shortcuts ? Well believe me when you start using them you will understand why. I find them very useful especially in word or even when the mouse is more than 2 inches from hand, why bother reaching just use the keyboard shortcuts.

(Delete the selected item permanently without placing the item in the Recycle Bin)

F2
Rename selected item

CTRL ESC
Display start menu

F3
Search

ALT+TAB
Cycle between open items

F6
Cycle through the screen elements in a window or on the desktop

SHIFT when you insert a CD-ROM
Stop CD from auto running
